Locally-led Emergency Response in Lebanon

As a locally-led organisation, we know how to respond best to the huge humanitarian needs that are currently rising in Lebanon. We help vulnerable displaced families, by providing shelter, medical care, food and much more. Please help us help them!

We are a refugee-led organisation providing sustainable healthcare services and humanitarian relief support to the refugee populations and vulnerable communities across Lebanon and Syria. Since 2018, we have been a key source of healthcare in the region.

Story

Eighteen months ago, we reached out to you during a time of war. Today, we find ourselves in a devastatingly familiar position.

Lebanon is currently enduring an exponential rise in violence, from the streets of Beirut to the entire South of the country. The displacement we are witnessing is overwhelming. Currently, the UN estimates that over 1.2 million people are now on the move, of which one third are children. They are searching for safety that is increasingly hard to find, trapped between bombings, poverty and with nowhere to call home.

As is often the case in times of political and economic collapse, the most marginalised are hit hardest. Many vulnerable groups, including Syrian and Palestinian refugees and migrant workers, are being turned away from collective shelters. They are once again left in the most devastating situations, and they are who we are here to protect.

Locally-led, with lived experience

Endless Medical Advantage (EMA) is a refugee-led organisation. We are part of the community we serve. Because we are locally-led, we understand the nuances of this crisis better than anyone. We provide aid to everyone, regardless of background, identity, or religion. And we are especially concerned with the fate of the most marginalised.

EMA's emergency activities

The needs today are even larger than those we faced 1.5 years ago. To help as much people as possible, in the best way possible, EMA has scaled our emergency response:

Shelters: We are currently housing over 200 individuals, over 50% of whom are children in rented buildings. We provide a safe haven for those who have nowhere else to go.

Food security & other aid: Our community kitchen is working overtime to provide hot meals daily. We are distributing mattresses, blankets, and hygiene kits to ensure dignity and warmth in challenging conditions.

Primary healthcare & Mobile clinics: Our mobile medical clinic is a lifeline for shelter locations across Central and West Bekaa. Our doctors conduct consultations and provide essential medications through our in-house pharmacy. We also cover medical bills for those who need urgent medical care but cannot afford their treatment.

Mental Health (MHPSS): Trauma runs deep in times of war. Our mental health facilitator and musician visits shelters to provide music and performance activities. We aim to bring a spark of joy and stress relief to children and adults who have lost everything.

What your donation can provide

The crisis in Lebanon has reached a breaking point. We ran an impactful emergency response back in 2024, improving hundreds of lives. With your help, we can do this again. Please stand with us as we provide life-saving care to those most in need.

Any funds kindly donated to this project will be used to finance the running of the emergency response on the ground in Lebanon for as long as needed. Our team will be able to use the funds in the purchasing of urgently needed materials and resources. For example:

$5 = 1 hot meal

$5 = 1 hygiene kit

$15 = 1 mattress

Your donation could also contribute to supply our mobile clinic and pharmacy with much needed medications and medical supplies, or other running costs of our emergency activities.
