Emergency healthcare in Palestine

Following the recent attacks on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, IHP is providing its partner Anera with essential emergency medicines to care for families forced to flee. Please donate today to support this response.

At least two billion people worldwide lack reliable access to essential medicines. IHP exists to close this gap. We believe that everyone, everywhere should be able to access the healthcare they need. IHP acts as a vital bridge between the pharmaceutical industry and frontline healthcare NGOs.

Story

On 3rd July, Israeli forces began a series of airstrikes on Jenin Refugee Camp in the West Bank, causing many casualties and widespread destruction. The largest assault on the area in over 20 years, it has displaced more than 3,500 people and damaged 80% of homes.

Hospitals and other medical facilities have reportedly been damaged, while the destruction of water lines and sewage pipes increases the risk of waterborne diseases such as cholera. With reports emerging of ambulances being denied access to the area, the health need has become critical.

IHP is in close contact with our in-country partner Anera, as they respond to this crisis. We are prepared and well-positioned to make a difference. A timely IHP shipment of paracetamol and antibiotics has just arrived, providing immediate emergency support.

An additional shipment is also urgently being processed containing antibiotics, dermal creams, aspirin, anti-inflammatories, diabetic drugs and a mental health drug. We will continue operating in the area through Anera to ensure healthcare is available amidst this crisis

Please donate to IHP today, your support is crucial to maintaining access to critical healthcare for refugee families in the Jenin camp who have been forced to flee once again.
