Summer is the season for making bright memories of adventures and fun-filled days. This is the hope at the heart of Emerge’s summer programme for 2024 and we are asking for your help to make these opportunities available to everyone.

Every year, Emerge works alongside over 1200 individuals, and every year we aim to spin more magic for them through unforgettable summer experiences. But here’s the thing: while most of our summer adventures are free—thanks to the generosity of grant funding - there are two exceptions which have a price tag. And, despite holding fees at pre-pandemic levels, we know that some families, particularly those with multiple children, cannot cover the costs of these two fantastic events - XSport and Sanctuary - and are left in the unenviable position of potentially having to choose which of their children should attend.

Can you help us support local families with a donation towards the costs? We believe that both these events are enriching and character-forming for any individual who attends.

• XSport combines professional coaching, chances to try new sports, and team competitions with infectious community spirit at a camp for 100 young people aged 10-15. A donation of £10 pays for a place at Xsport includinga t-shirt, food and fun for three full days.

• Sanctuary is a 3-day residential where friendships bloom and up to 40 young people experience a new environment with great activities and space to think about what matters most to them. A £30 donation covers the cost we ask from each young person for three days on the West coast, including accommodation, food and transport.

Any amount you donate will directly help provide one of these opportunities to someone who needs it most. We will channel any extra raised through your generosity towards other essentials: equipment, travel, and resources for our six weeks of summer magic.
