The End of Life Care Fund aims to enhance the care to patients receiving palliative and end of life care in our hospitals and support their families and loved ones.

Supporting the team will enable them to work on innovative projects that further enrich the care they offer to patients, their families and loved ones throughout every area of healthcare across our five hospitals that make up East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

All projects will achieve additional bringing additional comfort during one of the most challenging times we can experience such as:

- A selection of toiletries to make overnight stays more comfortable.

- Providing treasured keepsakes including hand print opportunity, memory hearts - one to stay with the patient and one to stay with their loved one(s).

- Multi faith items such as Quran Cubes, Holy water, Rosemary beads and other religious comforts to go into boxes readily available on every ward.
