Story
We’re transforming Camden into a greener, healthier community.
Through our Environmental Programme, we bring the community closer to nature through horticulture, gardening, and sustainability activities. From community gardening sessions to workshops and growing spaces, we’re fostering a love for plants, wildlife, and food growing while tackling climate change and promoting well-being.
Over the past decade, we’ve transformed three local spaces: a four-acre community park (the largest in Camden Town), a horticulture hub for workshops and skills training, and a thriving growing area at Elm Village Open Space. Wherever we can, we’re creating green oasis to enrich the environment and brighten our community.
With your support, we can continue to grow and make a difference. Help cultivate a greener, more sustainable Camden —donate to our Environmental Programme today!
Why There is a Need for our Environmental Programme:
Climate change could reduce global food production by up to 30% by 2050, making sustainable food growing even more critical. In the past 10 years, we’ve engaged over 240 volunteers and 1,000 participants, transforming unused spaces into thriving community gardens focused on food growing and therapeutic gardening. These projects promote sustainability, mental well-being, and wildlife conservation. One attendee shared,
“I always feel better after the community gardening sessions. It's great to connect with others who love gardening and the environment, and it feels like we’re doing something positive for the community and local wildlife"
