Our mission is to enhance the professional skills and life-long ethic of the young men and women who serve; to respond to critical unmet needs in the areas of emergency response and environmental conservation, to leverage service of volunteers, and build the capacity of our partnering agencies and communities we serve.

Story

Communities all across the Midwest are experiencing devastating tornadoes, flooding, and severe storms. The AmeriCorps St. Louis Emergency Response Team has been requested to support various local disasters in Missouri and Illinois, through volunteer management, leading field crews, removing debris, and other capacities. So far in 2019, our Members have served locally in Clarksville, MO (flood), Jefferson City, MO (tornado), and Calhoun County, IL (flood). We anticipate more responses throughout the spring and summer.

Since these disasters are not federally funded, all expenses during these responses will come out of our own funds. If you would like to support AmeriCorps St. Louis during this time, please consider making a monetary donation. Every little bit helps! Thank you!
