At Emmaus SLC, a key ethos for us is solidarity, whether it be at home or abroad. We undertake various fundraising activities within the year specifically for solidarity purposes. Each year our Solidarity Committee nominates two beneficiaries, one UK-based and one that is international, and the money raised is split equally between both. This year we will be undertaking a Spinathon at our Boutique shop based in West Norwood, from Friday 1st September to Sunday 3rd September (during opening hours). 

Our UK beneficiary will be Street Storage (charity number 1184447), a charity that provides those experiencing homelessness with free, accessible and safe storage for their belongings. For more information on Street Storage visit their website at:

Our international beneficiary will be the Emmaus Europe Ukraine Fund. This supports the two Emmaus communities in Ukraine, and the neighbouring Emmaus communities in Poland and Romania, who are supporting Ukrainian refugees. For more information on the work being undertaken there, you can visit the Emmaus Europe website at Solidarity with Ukraine:
