Pedal Power: East Sheen Primary & Stemette Futures Cycle to Paris!

At East Sheen Primary School, we're passionate about providing our students with the best educational experience possible. This year, we're embarking on an ambitious journey—both literally and figuratively—to raise funds that will directly benefit our children and support Stemette Futures, a charity dedicated to inspiring and encouraging girls, young women, and non-binary young people into technical fields.​

The Challenge: London to Paris Cycle Ride

A brave (and slightly bonkers) team of parents and staff, spanning a wide range of cycling abilities—from seasoned pros to those who think a peloton is a type of Pokémon—will be donning their finest Lycra and setting off on a grueling ride from London to Paris. Expect sore legs, a few wrong turns, and an unhealthy amount of baguette consumption along the way.​

Why We're Doing This

While we may question our sanity somewhere around mile 100, our mission keeps us pedaling:

- For Our School: As a state school, our budget has its limitations. Funds raised will go towards essentials like:​

- Subscribing to vital learning programs.​

- Replacing outdated iPads with new laptops.​

- Maintaining and upgrading playground equipment and the astro turf.​

- Installing an automated front gate to improve accessibility for wheelchair users and elderly family members.​

For Stemette Futures: We're proud to co-raise funds with Stemette Futures (stemettes.org), a charity that works alongside nonprofit Stemettes to inspire, support, and encourage girls, young women, and non-binary young people into technical fields. By supporting both organizations, we're investing in the education and empowerment of the next generation.​
