Story
We know this may not feel exciting, we are not asking for funds for a shiny new thing to make animals’ lives better.
The simple truth is that we need your help. As an animal lover you will know the importance of routine veterinary care and that this comes at a cost. And you will understand that older animals often require more help. You will also see how important neutering is, in particular with managing an out-of-control cat population.
At the time of writing, 25% of the cats on our waiting list are aged 12 plus. And sadly, we have a limit as to how many of these deserving oldies we can take in. Our resources are stretched more than ever, and we have to make some really tough choices.
Your support and the support of other animal lovers like you will ensure we can continue to prioritise, giving a second chance to those animals who need us the most.
Will you step forward and meet this need?
Will you help with the costs of dental work and neutering? We know it’s not glamorous, but it’s the backbone of what we do and the costs are crippling! Last financial year the cost of dental work and neutering for cats and dogs came to over £25,000.
Thank you for not turning away when we need you most.
You are the reason that dogs like Bill, whose dentistry cost over £1000 and cats like Pearl, who once her kittens have been weaned, will be neutered, can find a second chance of happiness and the life that every animal deserves.
Should we be lucky enough to exceed our target the funds will be used to cover more of the veterinary costs for caring for dogs and cats on their way to a new home.
