Every Mile Matters...

Every mile we drive helps cancer patients get to life-saving treatment, but rising fuel costs now mean it’s costing over £1,400 more each month to keep our ambulances on the road. Your support keeps us moving when it matters most.

Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, provides a free transport service to and from the Freeman/RVI Hospitals for outpatients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy treatment – some from as far afield as the Scottish Borders, North Yorkshire and West Cumbria.

Story

We're helping cancer patients get to life-saving treatment, no matter the cost!

Every single day, our ambulances set out with one mission:

To ensure cancer patients get to the treatment they need, when they need it.

At Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care, we provide free transport for people who are already facing one of the toughest battles of their lives.

No stress. No cost. No barriers.

Just support, when it matters most.

Right now, we’re being hit hard by rising fuel costs.

It’s now costing us over £1,400+ more every single month just to keep our ambulances running.

That’s £1,400 more just to do what we’ve always done; get people to hospital safely, reliably, and on time.

You don’t realise how important this service is until you need it. They took all the worry away on the days I needed treatment most.

For many of the people we support, there are no easy alternatives.

They may be too unwell to drive. They may not have family nearby. Public transport may not be an option.

Without us, getting to treatment becomes another burden; or worse, something they might miss altogether.

Help us keep that lifeline going.

Because every mile really does matter.
