No one knows yet how far they'll go, cycling 1 km for every £1 they're donated in a day, weekend or longer.
Kilometres can be clocked up on watt bikes and turbo trainers too!
Distance will be defined by the money raised, heres what cycling efforts could achieve:
- 145km - £145 could pay for a Macmillan Grant to support the cost of travel to hospital for cancer treatment
- 221km - £221 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for one day
- 573km - £573 could pay for a Macmillan Information and Support Assistant for a week
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK, with someone receiving a cancer diagnosis every two minutes. We know that one in two people in the UK will experience a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.
For more than 100 years Macmillan has been there for people with cancer when they needed them most. Today is no exception!
Cancer is not going anywhere. And neither can Macmillan.
Join us in supporting Macmillan, so they can keep providing physical, financial and emotional support to the millions of people that count on them.
