Evolve Housing + Support Winter Fundraising Appeal

We are raising funds for our trauma-informed health and wellbeing programme. Helping people improve their emotional wellbeing and rebuild their lives after homelessness requires a varied, flexible approach, and our offer reflects that.

Story

This Winter, Help Us Do Whatever It Takes

When James first came to Evolve, he was exhausted — not just from sleeping rough, but from years of trying to hold his life together without the right support. Like so many others, he’d faced trauma long before homelessness: a family breakdown, the loss of work, and a growing sense that the world had no space for him.

At Evolve, we believe recovery doesn’t start with housing alone. It starts with healing. That’s why our Trauma-Informed Health and Wellbeing Programme is at the heart of what we do. Through counselling, drop-in wellbeing sessions, creative workshops, and community events, we help people like James rebuild their emotional resilience and reconnect with hope.

But right now, that work is harder than ever.

The cost of living has soared, rents are rising, and public services are stretched to breaking point. Our customers are struggling to get GP appointments, waiting months for mental health referrals, and finding fewer community spaces where they can feel safe and connected. These gaps in external support mean that Evolve is often the last line of help — the place people turn when there’s nowhere else to go.

This winter, we need your help to keep that lifeline strong.

Your donation will make a difference

£20 could pay for a drop-in session, connecting people to mental health support for the first time.

£50 could pay for a creative art workshop, boosting wellbeing and reducing isolation.

£100 could pay for four one-to-one counselling sessions delivered by a trained trauma-therapist.

£1,200 would enable us to run drop-in sessions for a year, connecting people to mental health support for the first time.

£2,000 could pay for 40 group activity sessions, boosting wellbeing and reducing isolation.

£3,000 could pay for 120 one-to-one counselling sessions, delivered by a trained trauma-therapist over a year.

Every pound you give helps us do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes.

Because homelessness and trauma are deeply linked — and recovery takes time, trust, and the kind of consistent, compassionate support that our programme provides.

This winter, you can help someone like James move from surviving to thriving.

Together, we can make sure no one has to rebuild their life alone.
