The Fairway to Ride Scottish Open Scramble

In the Summer of 2024 we will be undertaking an endurance hike to all of the Open venues in Scotland whilst carrying our golf clubs..an incredible challenge and all the money will go to support local children's causes and promote sports. Thank you.

Fairway to Ride was set up by a golf club professional and one of the clubs members who are both passionate about helping others. We work in Gedling a Borough in Nottinghamshire. Though a fairly new Borough, created in 1974, it is diverse with areas of council housing alongside those of affluence and rural villages within easy reach of urban areas. It is our ambition to work to the betterment of children who are excluded and do not have the opportunity to participate in society. In conjunction with this we endeavour to support education and promote participation in sports – specifically golf.

Story

We are walking from Turnberry to Carnoustie whilst carrying our golf clubs and essentials...and on the way visiting all of the Open venues in Scotland...a little hike of 250 miles.

Why - as it is our ambition help children who are excluded and do not have the opportunity to participate in society. Also we endeavour to support education and promote participation in sports - specifically golf.
