Story
Welcome to our campaign page in support of this year's Fan Dance challenge! RaksTrust was setup in memory of Flight Lieutenant Rakesh Chauhan and aims to raise money in support of the Air Ambulance and other charitable causes.
The Fan Dance will be a 12 mile walk along a circular route round part of Brecon Beacons National Park, including Wales’ highest peak Pen-Y-Fan. The walk is so named as it emulates the SAS training walk in the Brecon Beacons known as the Fan Dance.
All funds raised from this year's campaign will go twards our current project to to help establish a computer science lab in Nepal. We will be working alongside Q Learning to establish the lab and with the Turing Trust to provide the laptops to be donated.
The lab will be used to introduce 6-10 year olds to basic computing skills and developing their knowledge of computers and their uses. Beyond this, the lab will enable teaching in basic programming skills for older students. The lab will also enable 16-18 year old students to borrow laptops for further education and establish a library system for use of computers.
With your help we hope to achieve and beat this year’s target of £8,000 Thank you again for all of your support!
