Restless Development is all about one thing: youth leadership. Young people are often overlooked and sidelined as equal citizens. But Restless Development believes that young people have the solutions to the worlds biggest problems - from climate change to gender inequality and unemployment. As a global development charity, Restless listens, trains and supports young people to lead change in their communities.
Seema is transforming the lives of teenage school boys and girls in Delhi in India - by giving them a much needed opportunity to discuss and better understand the gender-based issues affecting their lives.
£10 trains 3 young women and girls in India through our Youth Resource Centres, pairing training in digital literacy and coding with sessions on life skills, gender issues and careers.
£20 could provide a family with emergency provisions including containing food packets, sanitation items and other essential items to survive the pandemic.
Half of the world is under 30. 9 out of 10 of these young people live in low-income countries, but only 40% of them will be able to access jobs. Unemployment levels have been made worse because of the pandemic.
At Restless Development we aim to tackle this by making sure young people are equipped with the right skills and opportunities so that they can find decent work or be supported to start their own business.
£30 could equip 50 young people in Zimbabwe with entrepreneurship skills and training. Find out more about what we do.
Bibek lives in Nepal, a country with one of the world's highest rates of child marriage. But with the support of Restless Development - he has successfully campaigned to end child marriage in his district.
£60 could support 6 young activists in Nepal to advocate against child marriage across more districts.
The top fundraisers will also receive our eco-friendly 'Youth Power' superstar medal! With prizes awarded to the most creative fundraising ideas too! Certificates, medals and prizes will be presented in a Farringtons celebration assembly after the event.
Wow!!! So many exciting updates to share with you all. Thank you so much to everyone who has set up their fundraising page and raised money for Restless Development.
