Leatherhead Lions Christmas Collection

The Leatherhead Lions Father Christmas collection raises thousands of pounds for local charities each year. This year, our two principal recipients are The Lucy Rayner Foundation and The Meeting Room who do such wonderful work in the local area.

Story

The Leatherhead Lions Club Christmas float is a local institution. For 48 years, the Leatherhead Lions Club have accompanied Santa as he tours roads in the local area, visiting children and spreading Christmas cheer. There's a serious side as well - we are collecting for two excellent local charities:

The Lucy Rayner Foundation supports young people with mental health challenges by providing counselling services for anyone in Surrey between the ages of 14 and 39.

The Meeting Room supports homeless, vulnerable and socially isolated people in the Mole Valley & Epsom areas.

Other funds go to the Lions Welfare fund - see our website for the other good causes that we support.

About the charity

Raising over £30,000 annually, the Leatherhead Lions are dedicated to helping the less fortunate by supporting local and other charities and providing service, assistance and funds for those in need. Unlike many other charities we are all volunteers and use absolutely none of the money for salaries.
