Story
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un “Surely we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.”
It is with heavy hearts that we remember our beloved brother, Haji Imran Patel (Bergkamp), who passed away suddenly, leaving behind family, friends, and a community who loved him deeply.
Imran was known for his kind heart, infectious smile, and passion for football. He brought people together, inspired young people, and was always there for others. Beyond the game, he dedicated his time to helping the community and supporting those in need. His impact on so many lives will never be forgotten.
In honour of Imran’s memory, we are raising funds to build a mosque in his name a place of prayer, learning, and community that will continue to benefit others for generations.
We also hope to build a water well alongside the masjid, providing clean water to families in need as a beautiful form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jaariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.” (Muslim)
We kindly ask you to donate whatever you can and keep Imran in your du’as. No amount is too small, and every contribution will help create a lasting legacy in his memory.
May Allah forgive Imran, grant him the highest ranks of Jannah, and make this project a source of continuous reward for him. Ameen.
