The RCS is not part of the NHS and relies heavily on donations to maintain its varied programme of clinical research and education.

Story

The transformation of the College has been five years in the making. Our flagship headquarters re-open later this year, transformed into a modern, light and flexible facility to provide the best possible education, exam and research facilities whilst preserving our unique and storied heritage. The purpose-specific design space has efficiency and sustainability at its heart as is fitting for the epicentre of surgical excellence for the UK and the entire world.

We're housing the The Faculty of Dental Surgery with a dedicated office for the Dean and the entire faculty will be based together alongside College staff in modern spaces throughout the College. We're also delighted to announce that the new open-air balcony above the Portugal Street entrance will be dedicated to the FDS. It is already affectionately known as The Dentists Balcony by the project team.

We would like to mark the opening of the new building and the Faculty's place within it by acknowledging as many of our members as possible during this momentous year. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to show your support, and become a part of our College history. The Faculty names will appear on a new recognition board to be hung in a prominent place within the building.

You can join your Dean, Matthew Garrett, and the Board of the Faculty in supporting the wider transformation project with a gift of £250. Each faculty member who makes a gift will see their name on the board alongside their peers and other supporters of the new building.

Thank you
