Story
There’s something powerful about sharing food, it brings people together in ways nothing else quite can.
Feast for Friendship is simple but powerful idea. Bring people together around food and friendship, to support connection and wellbeing in our community.
In March 2026, Globe Community Project is inviting supporters to host a Feast for Friendship, a simple, joyful way to gather people you love while helping reduce loneliness and build stronger communities across Tower Hamlets.
Across Tower Hamlets, many people experience loneliness and isolation whether they are newly arrived in the UK, older, or facing barriers to feeling part of their community.
Last year, Globe Community Project supported over 250 people, with 85% reporting improved wellbeing after taking part in our programmes.
We help people build connection with themselves and each other, through weekly wellbeing activities and courses that draw on mindfulness, the arts, kindness and communication skills to create lasting friendships.
This year, we’re aiming to raise £10,000 to help us continue and grow our community activities, creating welcoming spaces where people can build friendships, share experiences and feel a sense of belonging.
In a city where isolation can have serious consequences, your donation helps turn shared meals into lasting connections.
