The Messenger of Allah, PBUH said:
"Whoever provides Ifthar for a fasting person will earn the same reward as him, without being lessened from the reward of the fasting person" - Tirmidhi
Throughout the UK, hundreds and thousands of asylum seekers & refugees are being housed in run-down temporary accommodation, until their status is clarified. Many of these needy people do not have access to the proper meals they need to be able to fast. Some are then not able to fast at all, despite desperately wanting to.
This year we started the 'FEED THE FASTING PERSON' campaign - a simple project that allows us to deliver hot meals to those who are zakaat eligible, needy and fasting. We have already started delivering these quality, hot Sehri & Ifthari meals throughout Bradford & Leeds, and Alhamdulillah are now delivering meals to the needy in Halifax also.
A Sadaqah & Zakaat eligible project - for just £5, why not provide the gift of an Ifthari for a fasting person in need, and even donate as Sadaqah Jariah for a loved one who has passed away! Such an amazing cause with an immense reward.
MOMENT OF REFLECTION: Your £5 donation could mean the difference between a needy person keeping a fast or not. And we are in the most blessed month of Ramadan, where good deeds are multiplied by up to 700 times, so please donate generously.
