Story
Ferne has provided refuge to unwanted and abandoned animals for over 80 years and is home to over 300 domestic and farm animals. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals which through no fault of their own, find themselves in need of some care, attention, and a safe helping hand.
Each year we rehome approximately 250 cats and dogs, all of which receive the treatment, care, and love they need to enable them to live a happy life in their new forever homes.
Our CEO is proud to be walking the 46 miles between Ferne Animal Sanctuary's previous location in Wiltshire, to the current site we know and love today in the Blackdown Hills of Somerset. Kevan will set off on the 20th of June for 24 hours, honouring the same route and distance of 46 miles which the animals of Ferne took in 1975 when the Sanctuary moved from the Wiltshire/Dorset Border to its place now in Wambrook.
