Story
Every day at Ferry Lane Primary School, our playground fills with laughter, energy and imagination. It’s where friendships are formed, confidence grows and children get a vital chance to simply be children.
But right now, our outdoor space doesn’t reflect the potential of the pupils who use it.

We are a newly formed PTFA, made up of parents, teachers and friends who care deeply about our school and our community. We’ve come together with one shared goal: to transform our outdoor area into a safe, vibrant and inspiring space that every child can enjoy.
For many of our children, the school playground is more than just a place to play—it’s where they explore, learn new skills, build resilience and find joy in their day. A well-designed outdoor space can support physical health, boost mental wellbeing and spark creativity in ways a classroom alone cannot.
However, with increasing financial pressures on schools, projects like this are often out of reach without community support.
That’s why we’re asking for your help.
Our vision is to create a space filled with opportunities: areas for active play, quiet corners for reflection, and green spaces that bring nature into everyday school life. A place where every child, no matter their background, can feel inspired, included and excited to learn.
Every donation brings us closer to making this vision a reality.
By supporting our campaign, you are helping to create something lasting—not just a playground, but a space where memories are made, confidence is built and futures are shaped.
Together, we can give our children the outdoor space they truly deserve.
