Story
The Festive Fun Run is a delightful Christmas-time sponsored activity for primary school children, organized to raise money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Adding to the fun, all the children wear festive boppers, creating a colourful and joyful atmosphere as they dash along the course. Each participant is encouraged to collect sponsorships from family and friends, with all proceeds going to support the hospice in providing compassionate care to patients and families. This cheerful event not only promotes physical activity but also fosters a sense of giving and community during the holiday season, as children help make a meaningful difference while enjoying the festive spirit.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd provides its services free of charge to its patients and costs £5.2million to run each year with just 17% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 83% is raised from a range of fundraising events such as Festive Fun Run, the support of the generous local community in Cheshire.
