Parishes, schools and corporate supporters donate and help make it possible for us to give out food hampers and Christmas presents each year. One of the parents who received a Christmas care package said the following,
Thank you for the gifts, food and bits, the kids will love them. Thank you for everything.
Demand for our services is higher than ever as hardworking families and individuals struggle to keep a roof over their head, food on the table and a warm and safe place to bring up their children.
This year our Christmas Appeal is around supporting and helping People Living in Poverty and we are asking for your assistance to reach our target of £12,000. Below are examples of how your donation can make a difference:
- £120 can pay for a basic weekly shop for a family of 4
- £80 covers the average heating bill for a 3 bed house for a month
- £50 provides a homeless person with a warm, safe bed for a night
- £20 means we can provide a baby pack
- £15 for gloves, woolly hat and scarf
- £10 covers a basic toiletry pack
- £5 for a nutritious, hot meal
It would not be possible to do all we do at Christmas without our supporters. To join them, and help make someone's Christmas a little brighter please consider donating.
Our Parishioners truly love adding to the Giving Tree, it has become a tradition!
