Story
What we're trying to do:
In 2022 we completed Phase 1 of our Fintry project, creating a new childcare centre delivering accessible, affordable, high-quality early learning and childcare.
Phase 2 is partially complete, and will see the transformation of the current outbuildings into a Community Hub where members of the local community can access workshop spaces, a vegetable garden and a tool library.
We also plan to create a purpose built office space which can be used to conduct training days and learning opportunities such as repair, reuse and recycle sessions, first aid training and other initiatives aimed at solving societal challenges such as loneliness, social inclusion and food poverty.
Why we need your help:
Unfortunately, due to the prices of building materials increasing exponentially we were forced to pause work.
We need some additional funds to complete the project and to allow us to continue to deliver flexible childcare and wraparound support to children and families in our area.
We're committed to completing this project as we know the value it will bring our local community.
What we're doing:
- We’re applying for funding from local and national Trusts, Foundations and Grant giving organisations and individuals
- Members of our team are taking part in fundraising activities
- We will host fairs and fun days in the nursery
What you can do:
- Donate directly through this page
- Create your own fundraising activity and link it to this page
- Tell your employer about our work and ask them to support us too (after all, they wouldn't have you if you didn't have flexible childcare)
Whatever you do, or whatever you donate, we really appreciate your help!
