A message from Flix, Loughborough's student-run cinema:

"Please help Flix to continue to be the best student-run cinema we can be.

"Our team of volunteers are working hard to provide the students and the public of Loughborough with an affordable but professional cinema experience - and we need your help to continue.

"Flix cinema is a small cinema run entirely by student volunteers that has been a part of the Loughborough community since 1946. As technology, equipment, and film pricing has evolved, we have needed to adapt to remain relevant and capable of running in modern times.

"In recent years our team worked hard to raise enough money to upgrade to a digital projector so that we could continue providing our members with the latest films.

"With expensive equipment comes expensive repairs, and without the kind donations we need, we will struggle be able to maintain our equipment to keep it running. Your donation would allow us to continue running for years to come and help to maintain a strong community of film-lovers as well as protect a key part of our university's history.

"Thank you to everyone who chooses to support us! We'd love to welcome you to our screenings."
