Established in 2004, Muslim Relief is a non-profit organisation based and registered in the United Kingdom. Our mission is to save lives by providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by extreme poverty, crisis, conflict and natural disasters.

Story

Pakistan is experiencing a major crisis as record breaking monsoon down pours cause severe flash floods and catastrophic damage across the country. As it stands one-third of the entire country remains submerged.

Local reports suggest an estimated 1100+ people including women & children have lost their lives with the number of fatalities continuing to rise. A further 1500+ people are injured and require emergency medical attention. Millions more are now displaced and unprotected from what lies ahead including further anticipated rainfall.

The country's climate minister has declared a state of emergency

As a result of the tragedy many towns & villages across Pakistan are now unreachable due to the extreme flooding and widespread damage. Rescue teams are in operation and working to evacuate large numbers of stranded people from affected areas. The regions of Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are all areas which have been particularly affected.

The Muslim Relief Team needs your urgent support to help provide lifesaving aid to those in need across Pakistan. Please Donate now your actions can help save lives.

Heavy downpours & flash floods destroy over 220,000 homes with Millions badly affected across Pakistan.

At least 33 million people have been impacted as a direct result of the extreme weather, approximately 220,000 homes have been wiped out and nearly a million homes have sustained damage.

The devastation caused for many is beyond catastrophic with loss to lives, homes, livelihoods, livestock and farmed crops which local communities rely on significantly to survive. As a result millions today are experiencing horrific conditions with no food, water or shelter.

Local authorities also report extensive infrastructure damage to key roads and some 145 bridges which poses serious danger to the lives millions.

Without immediate lifesaving aid like food, water, medical care & adequate shelter those who have fled to safety and to higher grounds will be at grave risk.
