Story

The Covid crisis has been a huge challenge for everyone. Schools, including the teaching community, pupils and their parents have been severely impacted by the strict Lockdowns and school closures. As the winter of 2021 drags on in front of us, we are trying to motivate our children to get outside, get off the screens and get more fresh air and exercise!

During February, we are challenging the children to run, walk (or walk-run) 28 miles in 28 days - ideally a mile a day. Children will track their miles using apps, maps or GPS phones. For those needing to self-isolate, this can even involve exercise in the house or garden.

The children are seeking sponsorship for their "Challenge 28". All funds raised go to the Friends of Belham - a charity run by parents and guardians aiming to support the educational enhancement at the School. These additional funds are vital right now during this crisis - last month we were able to donate £2400 raised from activities last year, to support the school purchase additional home-learning tablets.

About the charity

Friends of Belham is a charity run by school parents and guardians to organise events that bring the school community together, and to raise funds that support the school and enhance the education of all pupils.
