We decided to increase our target so that as well as providing the essential work desperately needed to the outside areas we can offer the school the opportunity to make even more of the improvements they were hoping to***

Friends of Jenyns is run by parents of children who attend Jenyns First School and Nursery in Braughing, Hertfordshire. We aim to raise money to support the school by providing equipment, or by funding enjoyable activities for the children such as Christmas entertainment and parties. The outside area of the school is in urgent need of repair and improvements. Not only are the grounds nice for the children to play in, but following the COVID guidance, increasing the capacity of the school for outside learning by adding tables and seating etc would be a great help in providing the children with a safe but fun education.

We have already achieved a lot just through cleaning and painting, but because our major fundraising activities have been cancelled this year (and for the foreseeable future) we are looking at raising funds to support this work. We understand that this is a difficult time for many and we do not want to add additional pressure to families at this time therefore we decided to try to support this work via just giving so that donations can be anonymous if preferred and there is no pressure on families.
