For more than 45 years, Friends of Karen has been providing emotional, financial, and advocacy support – at no cost – to families in the New York Tri-State region caring for a child (from birth through age 21) battling cancer or another life-threatening illness, from diagnosis through treatment.

With your support, we relieve families of the hardship of paying for huge medical co-payments, multiple prescriptions, enormous travel costs for daily hospital visits, mounting expenses for utilities, housing, food and childcare, sibling support, and other necessities when facing a health crisis. They have never needed the Friends of Karen lifeline of support and our caring community more than now.

Last year, Friends of Karen directly assisted more than 1,320 children and their families, remaining by their side throughout their child’s treatment.
