EMERGENCY FOOD APPEAL (IRAQ) - £50 Monthly Food Packs - COVID19
The global lockdown resulting from the Corona Virus pandemic has resulted in food shortages and loss of incomes for many families.
Iraq, already a country under huge strain has seen a knock on affect in the lives of its people, who are now becoming desperate, in many cases begging for food and money for medicine.
Situation: Due to the extraordinary challenges and circumstances, humanitarian networks and organisations were forced to distribute the usual food parcels usually allocated for Ramadan early to combat the effects of the Corona Crises.
This has resulted in insufficient rations for vulnerable families, in light of the prevailing situation, monthly supplies need to be split to accommodate the sheer number of people seriously affected.
MWT has secured trusted ground partners in Iraq to ensure relevant areas are provided with emergency aid.
We are aiming to provide 500 food packs which will cater for approx 5,000* people.
Each food pack is costed at £50 and as always a full breakdown of contents and costs will be provided.
Monthly food pack will be split between 2 families, this will enable us to reach approx 5,000 people and satisfy their dietary needs for 2 weeks.
MWT operates a 100% donation policy, All representatives and figures in MWT are volunteers and no staff member is paid.
Please support this campaign as best you can.
