Why sign up to Footsteps For Hope?

It's estimated that there are 250,000 street-connected children in Kolkata, India, who are from the most disadvantaged communities in India. Many street-connected children come from families who struggle to access daily necessities such as food, clean water and somewhere safe to sleep. Other street-connected children are orphaned, alone in the city and vulnerable to abuse and exploitation. These children start work as young as age five in order to buy food to survive.

By signing up you will help educate street-connected children – many of whom are first generation learners – and help them build knowledge, skills and confidence, and enable them with a pathway out of poverty.

How your funds will be spent?

100% of funds raised will be for HOPE's educational programmes and resources to empower and enable street-connected children in Kolkata.
