On Monday 11th March Aoife's Bubbles Charity made a personalized drop to Lion ward at Great Ormond Street Hospital, having received a referral 10 days prior to help support a lovely Mum Zoe and her little girl baby Kayliah, the picture of baby Kayliah is from the day of the drop by Katie and Megan.
Kayliah, was on treatment for cancer, aged 8 months.
Zoe is an amazing Mummy to all 5 of her children, with Kayliah's 4 siblings being at home with Zoe's Mum - Jo. We also sent a food voucher to them to help for the care of Kayliah's 4 siblings.
While, we knew the seriousness of Kayliah's illness nothing could prepare the team for what happened in the days following.
In eerily similar circumstances to Aoife, Kayliah suffered a cardiac arrest on the ward and was transferred to ICU. Where she sadly, tragically and unjustifiably passed away with Zoe by her side.
Our ambassador Katie and Megan on of our managers made it to the hospital in time, these amazing ladies were also the ladies who did the drop on Monday just 4 days prior.
Aoife's Mummy, the charity founder who lost Aoife is almost identical circumstances has vowed to continue to support the family throughout this heartbreak.
We therefor as a charity have decided to help raise funds to be dedicated to Kayliah's celebration of life, and future care of Kayliah's siblings.
Aoife's Bubbles Charity will cover the costs of the Just Giving Fee's on this page.
Our unwavering love and support, if of course with Zoe, Joanne and Kayliah's siblings at this absolutely heartbreaking time.
We want to thank you all for your loyal and ongoing support, it really does - make a difference to those who need it the most.
With love,
Team Aoife's Bubbles Charity.
