Story

This is Eli – our bright, charismatic and inquisitive 6-year old who has an insatiable love of dinosaurs, food and everything aquatic.

At the age of 2, Eli was diagnosed with diplegic cerebral palsy (CP) – a lifelong condition that predominantly affects his movement, balance and posture. There is no cure for CP and treatment largely revolves around 1:1 physiotherapy with the aim of building strength, balance and maintaining his range of movement for as long as possible. It’s a constant uphill battle, one we know we can’t win, but also one we know we can’t afford to lose.

Just4Children are fundraising for 1:1 physiotherapy and access to specialised equipment and orthotics for Eli. Intensive therapies, like those run by specialist centres like NAPA and Smile help him to develop many of the physical skills that we often take for granted yet are an essential part of everyday life such as standing still, walking efficiently and climbing stairs safely. The more physiotherapy he has, especially in his formative years and bespoke orthotics, the more we can help him to be as independent as possible, reach his full potential and enjoy life alongside his peers.

We thank you for any support you can offer this incredible little boy.
