Story

Framlingham Library sits at the heart of its community, supporting and encouraging residents of all ages to enjoy all that Suffolk Libraries can offer.

Refurbishing the children's area is an important step in a long timetable of renovations that will ensure that the library building is a welcoming and inspirational environment for all local residents and visitors. The creation of a modern, welcoming area for children and families to relax and enjoy reading and other activities will help us to further nurture children's literacy.

Staff will be organising a range of fundraising events over the next 12 months including auctioning bespoke pieces of art such as a donated painting by the mysterious Suffolk artist The Hat, and a sculpture by local artist Spadge Hopkins, but we need the public to also come on board with donations and fundraising events of their own - together we can create a children's area that will inspire children to love reading and libraries for generations to come
