At 96 years old, Frank has led a life full of adventure and love. He met his late wife when he asked her to a local dance, and together they shared many exciting experiences, including travelling on Frank’s motorbike and playing golf in Portugal and America, where they even won trophies! In later years, Frank became a full-time carer for his partner during her illness, dedicating his life to her care and well-being, Frank continues to volunteer in the care home that she spent her final days.

Now, Frank is ready to take on a new challenge—one he’s never done before: walking on fire. Alongside his good friend Iain, Frank will be taking part in a firewalk to raise funds for Age UK South Glos.

Iain, who joined Age UK as a volunteer just over a year ago, visits Frank once a week. Their friendship has blossomed over cups of tea and shared stories, and now they’re teaming up to take on this fiery challenge together.
