Story
Neuroblastoma affects around 100 children in the UK each year. It has a 5 year survival rate of around 50%. After brain tumours, it is the most common solid tumour for children. Our aim is to facilitate research into more effective and kinder treatments for this disease.
In June 2020, 17 month old Freddie Page was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma. Since then he has undergone a complex course of treatment at Boston Childrens Hospital in the USA. This has included 7 rounds of chemotherapy, surgery, and 2 bone marrow transplants. Over the next half year he will receive 6 courses of immunotherapy. We, the family, are so grateful to be in the strongest position we could be at this stage. Attention is now clearly focussed on preventing a relapse.
Please consider supporting Neuroblastoma UK. Their research facilitates treatments which will further improve survival rates and reduce short/long term side effects
