Kiltwalk 2025

Organised by Freedom Fighters

‘Big Kev’ MccLafferty, a joiner from Glasgow, is the first person to do the Kiltwalk for our charity, raising money for our new Trauma Recovery Hub in Ardrossan.

Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·

Our charity offers hope and has helped individuals fight for the freedom and restoration of their hearts and minds since 2008. We provide professional therapeutic and recovery support. We believe in transformation over treatment, restoration to factory settings & that we can learn to fight and WIN.

Story

Hi All,

Over this past year we’ve been renovating an office space in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, slowly but surely transforming it into our new Trauma Recovery Hub.

We’ve had so much support from funders, companies and suppliers and the amazing team of volunteers who’ve sacrificially given their time and skills to turn the vision into reality.

The work is nearing completion and we are eager to launch our service and help those in our community and nation fight for the freedom and restoration of their hearts and minds.

With new premises comes new costs. Our monthly overheads have risen significantly so we’re having to focus our efforts on raising funds to sustain our services and continue to offer free counselling to those who need it most, but maybe can’t afford it.

One of the tradesmen, who our main hub contractor, James Frew, introduced us to, ‘Big Kev’ MccLafferty, a joiner from Glasgow, offered to raise funds for us through the Kiltwalk at the end of April. He’ll be walking 23 miles from Glasgow Green to Moss O’Balloch Park in Balloch.

We’re reaching out to ask if you would consider donating to our Kiltwalk fundraiser.

It’s easy to donate; just click this link to our Just Giving account and donate what you can.

Thanks in advance

Derek & the FF team 🙏🏻❤
