Save Our Sea Virtual Run 2023

The S.O.S. Run is open to all ages and abilities and is a charity event organised by and raising money for the Final Straw Foundation. Run a whole or half marathon in one go, or spread it out over the month, it's totally up to you! As a virtual run, you do the run where and when you want - as long as you complete your chosen distance before midnight on 31st January 2023!

A half marathon is 13.1 miles and a full marathon is 26.2 miles, you can also set your own goal if you'd really like to challenge yourself (that might be more or less depending on your ability).

Entry is just £12 per person and everyone who enters will receive a special commemorative medal!

There is no minimum sponsorship required for this event, but we are encouraging everyone who takes part to try and raise £100 each. Any profits made from the entry fee and any sponsorship will be spent on new litter-picking kits, beach schools for primary-aged children and other educational outreach programmes and also funding the testing of our local waters to monitor safe levels. We will update our social media and website with how much has been raised and how the money was spent once the event has finished.
