Story
This year the focus of our Christmas appeal is to allow "Trevor" the feed the homeless Food Bank to continue supporting those in need after the Christmas cheer has passed.
January, February and March usually sees the worst of the cold and wet weather and this is when vulnerable people struggle the most.
The Foodbank currently supports 100+ individuals every week, providing basic groceries so they can have food in their cupboards. We provide the bare essentials, we can't stretch to luxuries, such as jam, it's a spread too far. The most luxurious items we provide are a tin of tuna and a tin of meatballs.
It costs approx. £4 to supply a vulnerable adult with a bag of groceries for the week. We would like to raise enough money to continue supporting the most needy in our community into January, February and March. This means we need to raise £5000.
A £4 donation will help someone eat for a week, a £12 donation will help three people and a £20 donation will provide 5 food parcels.
Could you gift someone a weeks worth of basic essentials?
