Story
During the last two financial years Horsham Matters issued fuel vouchers worth a total of £6,800 to 340 people, who were unable to cook, have hot water or heat their homes because of income difficulties. Almost all of these people accessed emergency food for themselves and their families at the same time through our Foodbank and its vital for us to enable them to cook the emergency food that we provide.
In order to provide the funds to deliver this support to those who most need it, Horsham Matters asks that members of our community who do not need all or part of their Winter Fuel Allowance, donate what they are able. We are aiming to raise £3,000 towards our Fuel assistance fund to enable our charity to continue relieving fuel poverty into the next year beginning with this coming winter, and which will we predict will become even more necessary as more livelihoods are impacted by the pandemic.
