Story

The Urban Tree Life Cycle concept is that mature trees in towns and cities are pivotal to the quality of urban living. And as they die/are removed, their replacement as the next generation of urban trees is vital. However, to achieve successful establishment, aftercare is essential and a crucial link in the urban tree life cycle. Unfortunately, this is often overlooked with a ‘plant and walk away’ approach or with inadequate aftercare budgets, resulting in affected trees being left to die or to survive only in moribund state. These trees then never achieve the ecosystem or landscape benefits for which they were planted.
