Ioana, a social worker in Bacau works with 50 other carers looking after the old, sick and lonely people across a large remote area. Without their help these people would have no one else to rely on, but people like Ioana ensure they live a decent and dignified life.

Their team travel over 100 miles daily delivering care, support, relief and medicine. The current vehicle they use has become unreliable after completing over 400,000 miles. This fundraiser will ensure that the team can be mobile and reach the people that they need to.

There is no end to the help these home carers provide. Personal hygiene, nutrition, cooking, washing, paying bills and more is part of their daily routines. Qualified nurses are able to reach the sick in remote areas where help to them can seem so far away...

The vehicle would be a Duster and replace the current. A vehicle like this, properly maintained means this work can continue for many, many years to come.
