Funds2Furniture is a charitable initiative aimed at addressing the critical need for furniture among low-income individuals and families. While housing assistance programs often provide shelter, many recipients lack the resources to furnish their homes adequately. This project seeks to bridge that gap by collecting donations, organizing fundraising events, and partnering with local businesses to furnish homes with essential items such as beds, tables, chairs, sofas, and kitchen appliances.

We are a very small standalone Charity however despite our small stature, the difference we make is huge! In the last three years we have had hundreds of referrals from social services, family services, P3, schools, women's aid, children's services, the council, our individual walk ins, and many, many more!

Unfortunately, as a small Charity, we can't help everyone, like many charities we are just a small splash in the ocean of need.

Our primary source of funding is our charity shop where we sell donated items at hard to beat prices. Our objectives being:

1) supply furniture, clothes, white goods etc. to our customers at more affordable prices.

2) raise money for our charitable work.

We sometimes get funding from grants that we apply for but as years go on, this has become increasingly harder to secure!

We have started this campaign funds to furniture because many will know a huge amount of people, people from our community are in temporary accommodation, people starting out in life again, those who have found themselves hitting hard times, those fleeing DV, those, for whatever reason, starting a new. Most left with a few bags of clothes and no funds to by the furniture they need. We want to be able to offer those in need the ability to make their house a home!

A mass percentage of these people we get referrals for, or they find us for help are only concerned about their children and willing to sleep on the floor until better days. We try and alleviate this worry as best we can. We try to give or source as much as possible for every individual and circumstance. If you need a specific black out curtain for your children with sensory needs, we will try. If you need a certain size bed to fit in the only place your home will allow, we will try. If you need certain clothing with certain stitching, we will try.

We are NOT “beggars can't be choosers” over here at The Betty Ennis Foundation Charity. We are "We understand" we all have children, we all have families, we have all faced hardships.

So, my ask to you, the public, is to spend this year donating, whether it be time, money, goods, or services, even fundraising by using a talent you have! Help your neighbour this year, help that person that looks cold, help that lady carrying multiple bags home, help that elderly person across the road, be helpful this year!

This campaign will run as long as possible and all funds raised will go to our Funds2Furniture adventure. We can make a difference with your help!
