As February is the month of loving and giving, Gables Farm Dogs and Cats Home felt they had to give some help to a little dog in desperate need of some TLC. The 9 year old Pomeranian cross was brought in with a sore leg but following a check-up with their vet it was soon discovered that her problems were much worse.
Funny Valentine, as she has been named, has been x-rayed and found to have a hair line fracture in her left foreleg. She also desperately needs a dental, with a minimum of 12 teeth that will have to be removed, and she will need to be spayed and have a full histology done on several biopsies that will be taken.
All this and her after care is expected to cost Gables around £850. They are asking their amazing supporters to show a little love to help get this girl as straight as Cupids arrow and fighting fit so that she can begin the search for a new home.
Deputy Manager Ruth Rickard said: When we heard about this little girl needing some love in the run up to Valentines Day how could we say no? We weren't expecting the poor little dog to need so much veterinary treatment, but we know she will be so much more comfortable once its all been done. Being able to improve this little dogs life is just one of the reasons that we are so proud to be a genuine non-euthanasia charity.
