Pakistan is ranked top in Infant mortality across the globe and sadly we get 54 deaths per 1000 live births each year. Syed Muzammil Hussain had a dream to build a state-of-the-art hospital thus providing world class facilities, specialist and trained staff and free medical health care to reduce the infant mortality in district Gujrat

Despite his health issues and complications where he suffered from multiple Myeloma, Diabetes and Dialysis he continued tirelessly and selflessly to continue with his mission until he passed away in 2020

IEPR took over the project and has launched 'OPD' in Sept 22

Why it was needed?

UNICEF: Pakistan has the worst infant mortality rate in the world

Pakistan spends less than one percent of its GDP on health and experts say that's kept the high infant mortality rate from improving.

Pakistan has the highest infant mortality rate in the world according to the UN children's agency, UNICEF. Infants in Pakistan are almost 50 times more likely to die during their first month than new-born in Japan or Iceland.

Insecurity and lack of access to decent health care facilities are hindering proper care for thousands of infants across the country.

Pakistan allocates less than one percent of its GDP on health and experts say that's kept the high infant mortality rate from improving.

Where Is the Problem?

More than 70 million people in Pakistan are living below the poverty line, due to which they are unable to undergo proper health treatment if they experience any disease. Estimated amount of surgery backlog in Pakistan is in millions every year.
