Gabriel has cerebral palsy. He is 21 and lives in Oxford.

Gabriel has undergone SDR or Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery which has released some spasticity. This has enabled Gabriel to become loose and feel free in his words.

Since the above operation, Gabriel has recently had his hamstrings lengthened to enable him to get full leg extension, helping him get his feet flat to the floor.

Having now received both of the above operations Gabriel has worked really hard at his therapy and is progressing all the time.

Gabriel attends SDR Progression in Wales. His therapist is Mr Drew Walcott. Gabriel has been working with Drew for the past 3 years and he is now at the later stages of becoming independent. He attends SDR Progression 3 days a month.

Gabriel really needs to continue his therapy with Drew to help cement this independence. This is Gabriel's last stage. He has achieved standing with his quod sticks and walking frame. He is now ready to be taught how to take walking steps. He needs his therapy funded to enable him to achieve his Dream to walk independently.
