Closes 09/07/2026

GAIN (Girls Are Investors) is a charity set up by investment professionals to improve gender diversity in investment management by building a talent pipeline of entry-level female and non-binary candidates. Our focus is to generate more and better prepared women for investment firms through early engagement with sixth form and university students. We inform young women with free resources, events & programmes. We inspire young women with a network of industry role models who speak at events and offer mentorship.

Story

The GAIN UK team are taking on the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge 2026. This year we will be running 5.8KM in support of our Bursary.

Who are GAIN UK and what is the GAIN Bursary?

GAIN (Girls Are INvestors) was founded with a simple but powerful goal — to change the face of investment management.

Too few women and non-binary people consider a career in investing, and even fewer make it to senior positions. We’re here to change that — by inspiring, educating, and empowering the next generation of investors through accessible programmes, events, real-world experience and strong role models.

All of our opportunities are free to take part in. However, we know that some students and pupils may face extra costs that can make it harder to get involved. So, the GAIN Bursary was set up to help remove these financial barriers.

The bursary includes support with travel, office wear and accommodation so students can take part in opportunities to grow their industry knowledge and experience.
