This year, something began to change inside its walls.

Phase I: A Fresh Start

The first brushstroke in the Peacock Lounge marked more than a coat of paint, it marked renewal. Students and staff came together to repaint the walls of Garbee Lounge, transforming the space from worn and tired to vibrant and welcoming. The new colors brightened the room, reflecting the pride and spirit of the residents who call Garbee Hall home.

What was once simply a common room is now becoming a space filled with personality, warmth, and possibility.

But we’re not finished yet.

Phase II: Building the Heart of the Hall

Now, we turn our focus to Phase II, furnishing the TV entertainment area of the Peacock Lounge.

Right now, the space has potential. With comfortable couches, functional tables, and inviting seating, it can become the heartbeat of Garbee Hall, a place where:

Students meet with friends. Study groups gather before exams. Residents host movie nights and game-day watch parties. Conversations turn into lifelong memories. Furniture may seem simple, but it creates comfort. And comfort creates community.
