The Memorial at Gavrelle

One of the most hallowed sites in modern naval history lying partially in ruins. The monument to the sailors and Royal Marines killed in the Battle of Arras in 1917 has been partially destroyed by a car accidentally smashing into it.

THANK YOU for your support in helping us reach our target. The rebuild of the Gavrelle Memroial is due to start at the end of October 2019, with a completion date of approx. November 2019. Due to everyones generosity we are also able to repair and replace all of the damaged plaques as part of the refurbishment.

Any surplus funds leftover will be ring-fenced for future cleaning and minor maintenance.

Once again thank you to all those that donated.
